What’s new in Sage 200 R1 2025?

Sage releases updates to Sage 200 every quarter to align with evolving user needs. The June 2025 release of Sage 200 (2025 R1) delivers several enhancements designed to simplify processes and enhance efficiency. Here are the key updates you should know about.  

1. Stay informed with Stock Item Alerts

The latest release extends alert capabilities to include stock items, enabling instant visibility of important stock-related notifications. These alerts are available across the Sales Order, Purchase Order, and Invoicing modules, with flexible implementation options to suit a range of operational workflows.  

This feature supports more proactive inventory management, helping your teams react quickly and minimise disruption.

2. Streamline customer and supplier communications

3. Stock List updates – country of origin

The stock list interface now includes the option to add ‘country of origin’ data, supporting businesses that need to track product origin for compliance or reporting purposes. 

  • Simplify compliance with customs and trade regulations 
  • Support international trade reporting requirements 

4. New web screens for greater flexibility

This release introduces additional web screens for Sales Order Processing (SOP):  

  • Enter, amend, and view returns 
  • Amend order status and return statuses 

These additions enhance the modernised Sage 200 web experience, giving users greater flexibility in how and where they work. 

5. SEPA compliance updates for E-banking

To support regulatory changes, Sage 200 now includes updated E-banking functionality for Single European Payments Area (SEPA) compliance. This includes: 

  • Core system changes  
  • Two new E-banking plugins. 

6. Expanded API functionality

This release also introduces new API fields and improvements to existing functionality. These changes broaden integration possibilities, giving businesses greater flexibility to extend and adapt Sage 200 to suit their unique requirements.
